Rachel Freeland

Paid Media Manager

As Step Change’s Paid Media Manager, Rachel is responsible for tracking the performance of all our clients’ paid media campaigns, across Google Ads, Youtube, Bing, and social media. She also designs and builds acquisition strategies and makes sure our clients hit their ROI goals.

Rachel’s love affair with paid media began in 2011. She used to be a Commercial Marketing Manager in The Guardian’s branded content division, working with clients ranging from the Big 4 banks, airlines like Qantas and Air New Zealand, consumer brands like Canon, Nespresso and Kathmandu, and charities like World Vision and UNHCR. She was also a Senior Campaign Manager and, later, a Program Manager for ReachLocal’s campaign design and build.

Rachel is proudly Google and Bing Ads certified and has received top employee awards at both The Guardian and ReachLocal for her energy and contribution to her clients and her team.

When she’s not at work, she’s binge watching TV shows like Survivor and Mad Men. You’ll also find that, as she comes from a family of gameshow champions, she’s ultra-competitive in Monopoly and trivia night.
